Mifiona began learning the harp at the age of nine and was a member of the Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO) from 2003 to 2009. Throughout her membership in the SNYO, Mifiona was under the tutelage of Gulnara Mashurova, Principal Harpist of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
In 2010, Mifiona was selected as the harpist for the Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO), where she performed in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand. She was invited to perform in the AYO again in 2011, in Singapore and Malaysia.
To date, Mifiona has performed in Singapore with orchestral groups and symphonic bands including the Orchestra of the Music Makers and the Philharmonic Winds.
Mifiona is also a proficient pianist, having begun her music education first on the piano. She holds Licentiate diplomas of the Trinity College of London and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
