Eunice, cello

Eunice has been pursuing her interest in cello performance since the age of 12. She attained distinctions for ABRSM Grade 8 for cello in 2011 and for piano in 2012.

In 2012, Eunice entered the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) to pursue a diploma in cello performance under the tutelage of SSO (Singapore Symphony Orchestra) cellist, Zhao Yu Er. Eunice graduated with a Diploma in Music in May 2015, and a Bachelor of Music with Honours in May 2017 conferred by NAFA, in collaboration with Royal College of Music, London.

Eunice is a firm believer of exploring various styles and genres of performing. She regularly performs solo and chamber works; and participates in masterclasses. She has participated in performances and competitions with various chamber groups, and enjoys being part of ensembles such as StringWerkz, Open Score Project, Singapore Pocket Opera Theatre and Vive Quintet, to name a few.

She is also an active member of various orchestras of different genres, having performed with groups such as the NAFA Orchestra, Singapore Lyric Opera, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra, The Philharmonic Orchestra, re: mix, Orchestra of the Music Makers, The Young Musicians’ Foundation Orchestra, and ADDO Chamber Orchestra. Eunice also led the cello section for the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra and Asian Cultural Symphony Orchestra.

As a versatile and active cellist, Eunice believes in maintaining intensive chamber music activities and performing with different music genres to cultivate music culture locally and internationally. In addition, Eunice is a passionate teacher who strongly believes in the joy of music learning and making, and aspires to share her musical experience with the younger generation and grow with the local music scene.
